Today’s walker spotlight is on: Chris S.

Chris has been working with Chicago Pet Sitters for over a year, and when he is not walking dogs, he is acting or stage managing.

Black, red, orange

Favorite food?
Vegetarian tacos

Coffee or tea?
Tea

What is your favorite breed of dog and why?
Yellow labs, corgis, French bull dogs, and wedgie dogs. I either like dogs that are really happy or goofy.

Where did you live before Chicago and what brought you to the city?
I was traveling at the time so I technically lived a lot of different places, but the most prominent ones were New Hampshire; Detroit, Michigan; Ohio, and Louisiana. I came to the city to pursue my art.

What is one of your favorite things about the city?
The amount of different things to do. You can find almost anything that matches your interests.

Your favorite hangout spot / restaurant in the city?
The lake. It is so beautiful whether you are biking through Lake Shore Drive or at the beach.

What is something about you that might surprise people when they find out?
I never had braces. I guess?

When you aren’t walking dogs or visiting with cats, how do you like to spend your time?
Going to the gym, reading, Netflix, beach, hanging out with friends, seeing theater, going to a museum, photography.

What is your favorite thing about being a dog walker with Chicago Pet Sitters?
Spending time with the animals whether it be playtime, cuddles, or enjoying nearby parks during walks. It’s kinda calming to walk around the neighborhood, like meditation.

What is one of the oddest thing you find yourself saying to the dogs you walk?
Yes, you pooped!
